Adjusting Overlapping Time Entries

Top  Previous  Next

Timeless Time and Expense will assist you in correcting overlapping entries.  If you create a new time entry that overlaps another, you will be given the option of how to correct the overlap.

For example, lets say you have a time entry from  8:00 - 10:00 and you create a new time entry that goes from 9:00 - 11:00.  This will overlap the existing entry.   When saving the entry, you will be prompted how to adjust other time entries.  When choosing to adjust existing entries, the first entry will be automatically adjusted to end at 9:00.

This is especially useful when you forget to start a timer.  By adjusting the start time of the running entry, you can correct both entries at once.

You can allow overlapping entries by changing the system settings.  If you allow overlapping entries you will not be prompted to adjust the entry.
